Goodbye 2017! Arthur Holm’s re-cap of the year!
With only two weeks left of 2017, we thought we would have a look back at this year that will soon be a distant memory. The hi-lights and events, the valued partners and amazing new installations, products and solutions and of course the awards! So, farewell 2017, it was a good one…
The year began with an amazing installation in the Council of the European Union in Brussels in January! The AH2 monitor was chosen for its elegance, sublime functionality and ease of manual use.
February can only mean one thing: Amsterdam and Integrated Systems Europe! This year was the biggest yet, and very successful for us, attracting lots of attention for the DB2, DynamicShare and UnderCover. We won the Best of Show for the DB2! We also organised some events like the Catalan wine tasting, and of course, who could forget the first ever AH Team Fun-Run in freezing cold -6 temperatures!
Next up was the intensive Dubai Tech training days in March, which provided product training and practice “hands on” sessions learning about the DynamicShare and Loop solutions. The next big event was Architect@Work in Barcelona. This was our first time showing our products and it was extremely interesting and gave us some new clients.
April brought the “Workplace3.0” at the Salone del Mobile in Milan, the international well-respected furniture show. April also brought us the Red Dot award for product design for both the DB2 and UnderCover! This prestigious international competition presents all the winning products in the annual Red Dot Design yearbook 2017/2018, so this was a huge honour!
In May, we participated in Workspace INDEX in Dubai, and the Digital Enterprise Show in Madrid. May also heralded the start of the AH Van Tour roadshow, kicking off in Italy! The Van was a new version, longer and wider with better space inside to show our products.
Already in June, and we headed to Orlando, Florida for InfoComm, the largest AV trade show in North America. We showcased the Red Dot award winning products and in the evening sponsored the annual Latin American Cocktail party, where we sampled some of the best mojitos ever!
July brought some new arrivals with the updated AH catalogues in English, Spanish, French, Italian and German. The catalogues have all the latest products and are a great visual with Hi-Resolution images and detailed product content. This month’s show was the turn of Mediatech Africa in Johannesburg, an innovative biennial event.
August was time for participation in Integrate in Melbourne, Australia, the most important show in the region, in cooperation with InfoComm International, and Tecnomultimedia InfoComm in Mexico City one of the largest shows in Latin America. As August got hotter the Van Tour continued the Spanish leg of the European roadshow.
After the hot summer, September brought a welcome temperature drop, and was a much busier month with events like the AVfocus conference in Moscow, Russia, and InfoComm India in Mumbai. The Roadshow travelled on from the UK of England and Scotland, and over to France garnering lots of interest wherever they went, with positive customer reactions to the new improved van. Staying in France, this time attending a unique event called Workplace Meetings in Cannes, a forum to connect companies and exhibitors.
It was October’s turn for the Integrated Systems Russia show, held in a freezing cold Moscow, bbbrrrrr! This proved to be very successful with the largest attendance ever.
We were shortlisted for an InAVation Award in November for our new product the DynamicX2BC, in the category “Technology for small group presentation”. Fingers crossed we win!
Finally, December arrived and the last show of the year at InfoComm MEA, in Dubai. This was an intense event and we were very happy to see the exciting movement in the market and the growth in opportunities.
Thank you for sharing this unforgettable and energetic year with us. What will 2018 bring?
