Custom DynamicTalk in the Chamber of Representatives of the National Capitol of Colombia

The National Capitol of Colombia, home to the Congress of the Republic, stands as a symbol of the nation’s legislative power. Located on the south side of the historic Plaza de Bolívar in Bogotá, this architectural gem blends republican and neoclassical styles. Designed by Thomas Reed at President Tomás Cipriano de Mosquera's behest, its construction spanned from 1848 to 1926, involving several architects. On August 11, 1975, it was declared a National Monument.

One of the Capitol’s highlights is the western block, which houses the Boyacá Hall. This hall pays homage to the pivotal Battle of Boyacá from August 7, 1819. Crafted by architect Gastón Lelarge between 1909 and 1915, the Boyacá Hall includes the presidency and vice-presidencies of the Chamber, a protocol room, a courtyard dedicated to Jorge Eliécer Gaitán, and various support rooms, including a cafeteria.

In today’s fast-paced world, parliaments, assemblies, and congress halls have embraced the integration of advanced information technology. This not only streamlines communication but also provides politicians with an extensive range of tools and information sources, enhancing their efficiency and effectiveness.

Arthur Holm specializes in creating bespoke solutions to meet the diverse needs of these institutional spaces. Our offerings prioritize functionality, adaptability, and ergonomic design, ensuring a seamless integration with both existing and new setups. One of our contributions is the design and manufacturing of 125 DynamicTalk custom systems for the Boyacá Hall. These DynamicTalk were customized with a push to talk button and a loudpeaker built on the cover plate.

DynamicTalk is an elegant, retractable lift system for gooseneck microphones, featuring a unique 360º lighting ring that indicates the microphone’s status with changing colors. This innovative system allows microphones to discreetly disappear within the desk surface when not in use, optimizing space and enhancing flexibility. The cover plate is made of brushed stainless steel, an elegant, durable and sustainable material.

All systems are managed through Arthur Holm’s ERT interfaces, simplifying setup, configuration, control, and support. These interfaces eliminate the need for external relay boxes and extra power outlets, reducing installation costs and time. With AHlink wireless control (App) integrated into the ERT interfaces, users can easily access common settings and manage the system remotely, ensuring a hassle-free setup and future maintenance.

Moreover, the presidency has adopted the DynamicX2Talk system, customized with the same conference capabilities, further enhancing the functionality and versatility of the Capitol’s technological infrastructure.
