The Municipal Council of Monaco Chooses a custom DynamicX2Talk UnderCover for Its New City Hall

The newly designed space showcases a meticulous design, harmoniously integrating the floor, joinery, lighting, and furniture. At its heart lies a striking teardrop-shaped table, crafted from real smoked oak veneer and adorned with a luminous cornice. Mayor Marsan highlighted this as “a reinforced symbol of the unity of our Institution.” The walls are adorned with large frames displaying black-and-white photographs of various municipal sites and major events organized by the City Hall.

The new Council Chamber is equipped with state-of-the-art home automation technology, managing lighting, air conditioning, heating, and the video and sound systems. Central to this modernization are the 23 DynamicX2Talk custom UnderCover retractable motorized screens.

UnderCover is a sophisticated yet simple solution featuring an automated cover plate synchronized with the monitor. It perfectly conceals the complete range of Arthur Holm’s vertically retractable motorized monitors and other retractable features. This patented mechanism allows the monitor, along with audio conference “gooseneck” microphones and flexible connectivity options, to disappear seamlessly beneath the furniture at the touch of a button or via remote control.

For this project, the UnderCover system has been customized to integrate a conference gooseneck microphone, a loudspeaker, and one HDMI passthrough connector. The result is a clever and convenient integration that ensures a uniform and streamlined look, enhancing the functionality and aesthetics of meeting and conference rooms.

Meeting participants can easily view presentations on a 17-inch monitor, use a gooseneck microphone with a push-to-talk button, and connect HDMI video inputs. All the technology seamlessly integrates into the table, leaving no trace when not in use. The UnderCover mechanism is veneered with the same real smoked oak as the rest of the table, ensuring functionality, elegance, and discretion.
